Christmas is coming! So it’s time to loosen the (already loosened) belt and get ready for the annual eating fest.
250g Peanut Butter
200g Castor sugar
To kick start the eating frenzy, here are some totally adorable reindeer cookies. The recipe is super simple – so simple that I made these with my toddler. The cookie itself is a soft peanut butter cookie. Some of them are also stuffed with Nutella – because tis the season to eat chocolate. I chilled small blobs of Nutella in the freezer for 5-10 minutes so that it was easier to mold.
I followed this soft peanut butter cookie recipe. Only 3 ingredients – winner! I added in 1/2 cup of almond flour as I wanted it to have a bit more body. I’m sure using self raising flour would have the same effect. Once Boo had mixed it all up I placed it in the fridge for 20 minutes while we cleaned down.
They baked for 10 mins at 180c. You need to leave them to cool for a few minutes before you try to move them as they are soft when they are fresh out of the oven. Once they have cooled a little add antlers – I used curly wurly squirlies or you could use chocolate covered pretzels. We used a glace cherry for the nose. As I was making these with my toddler we left off fiddly eyes, but you could easily use white chocolate buttons to make eyes – just make sure the cookies have cooled first.
