Brother of Rajon Rondo ejected from Lakers-Rockets game for jawing with Russell Westbrook

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Minutes after Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo received a technical foul from the bench, Rondo’s brother, William, was removed from the guest seating area in the fourth quarter of Game 5 after chirping with Houston’s Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook heard something he didn’t like and began yelling back at Rondo’s brother, who encouraged him to keep talking. Rockets officials then asked security to intervene, and security removed William Rondo from the guest seating area on the sideline opposite team benches.

Westbrook learned it was Rondo’s brother and then pointed in Rondo’s direction during a timeout.

Just as players’ guests were arriving, the league sent teams a memo warning guests to refrain from profane or objectionable language.
