DeChambeau streets US Open field to win first major title

Mamaroneck, New York: American Bryson DeChambeau has won the US Open at Winged Foot on Sunday to secure his first major title.

World No.9 DeChambeau, who began the day two shots back of overnight leader Matthew Wolff, was the only player to break par in the final round as he carded a three-under 67 to reach six under on the week for a six-shot victory.

US Open debutant Wolff (75) finished alone in second place. Lucas Herbert was the best-placed Australian, sharing 31st at 12-over-par following a final-round 72.
