How to watch St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Diego Padres: MLB playoffs live stream, schedule, TV channel, start time for Game 1

The San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals will meet in opener the best-of-three National League Wild Card Series beginning Wednesday.

The 30-28 Cardinals, NL's No. 5 seed, finished the shortened 2020 season second in NL Central, enduring a rigorous schedule after the team suffered a COVID-19 outbreak.

San Diego finished second in the NL West with a 37-23 record, the team's first winning record since 2010. The No. 4-seeded Padres are making their first postseason appearance since 2006, which had been one of the longest droughts in baseball.

The Padres faced the Cardinals that year, a 3-1 St. Louis win in the NLDS.
