Earl Thomas is getting a chance to land back in the NFL.
The seven-time Pro Bowl safety is visiting the Houston Texans for a free-agent workout, the team disclosed on Monday's transaction wire.
Thomas, 31, has remained a free agent since he was released by the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 23 for what the team called "personal conduct that has adversely affected" the organization. He was sent home from training camp after an altercation with fellow safety Chuck Clark.
The Texans dropped to 0-3 on Sunday after a 28-21 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"We have a really veteran team. I don't think anybody is panicking," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Sunday. "0-3 isn't where we want to be."
Houston faces the 0-3 Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
