Arsenal hero Ian Wright says the club must back Mikel Arteta and bring top players around Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to keep him at the club. The Gabon international netted twice in Arsenal’s 2-1 FA Cup final success on Saturday evening.
Aubameyang, 31, is out of contract next summer and the Gunners are hoping their top scorer stays.
However, if Aubameyang refuses to commit his future to the club, Arteta could be forced to sell his star man.
Following Arsenal’s FA Cup heroics against Chelsea, Gunners hero Wright urged the club to back Arteta in the transfer window.
The pundit also claims Aubameyang wants top players around him who want to lift silverware.

He said: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will want the kind of players around him who will create chances, have the same ambitions, want to win trophies and do well for the club.
“It’s a long road that Arsenal are on with Mikel Arteta and this is a good start.
“You just hope that the people upstairs will back him so he can bring the good times back.”
Arteta was asked about Aubameyang’s future after their FA Cup final win, with the Gunners boss admitting he’s confident the striker will stay.

He said: “He knows what I think about him. I want to build the squad around him.
“I think he wants to stay and it is just about getting the deal done.
“But I think these moments will help him to realise and believe that we are in the right path and he is a big part of that.
“He is loved by everybody at the club. Hopefully he can continue with us.”
When asked if the striker will extend his deal, Arteta added: “I think he will, yes.”
Aubameyang was also asked the same question, with the striker saying: “I’m really not thinking about this.
“I just want to enjoy with the guys and take the trophy now.”
Arsenal’s FA Cup win booked them a place in next season’s Europa League.
Being in the competition will give Arteta more money to spend in the transfer window this summer.
