Barcelona have mocked Cristiano Ronaldo following their win over Juventus.

Ronald Koeman and the Catalan giants traveled to Italy and rode their luck to secure all three points thanks to a deflected strike from Ousmane Dembele and a late Lionel Messi penalty.

Alvaro Morata had three goals ruled out during the entertaining contest, but the home side failed to find the back of the net with Merih Demiral seeing red late on in the contest.

Barcelona, who waved goodbye to former president Josep Maria Bartomeu earlier this week, have risked a backlash by suggesting that they Juventus were lucky to see the ‘GOAT’ in the flesh at their stadium.

Alongside an image of Messi, they tweeted: “We are glad you were able to see the goat on your pitch.”

One follower said: “There's another game in December and Ronaldo would be licking his lips at this tweet.”

A second added: “Leo fulfilled his promise by putting that masterclass.”

With a third adding: “You got lucky. Ronaldo plays and it's a different story.”

Ronaldo, who has had a blistering start to the new season with three goals in two matches, hasn’t been able to feature since September after testing positive for coronavirus on several occasions.

The 35-year-old said after his third positive test: "Feeling good and healthy! Forza Juve!"

Before shocking his followers by adding: ”PCR IS BULLS***."

When asked about his star forward before the result, Pirlo had said: "We can play Ronaldo with Morata or with Paulo Dybala, depending on the characteristics of the opposition.

"Positions are interchangeable during a game, too. The important thing is to move within certain zones to create problems for the opposition defence."

With Koeman saying of the forward: “Ronaldo is a great player, I don’t know if he will be allowed to play, it’s not my problem. I have great respect for him, if he can play, I’ll be glad.

“We’ll do our best to prepare the match in the best possible way.”
