Barcelona vs Real Madrid LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of El Clasico today

Barcelona are hosting Real Madrid at the Nou Camp today in the first Clasico of the La Liga season.

Both clubs come into the game feeling troubled. Ronald Koeman and Zinedine Zidane are already under pressure after struggling for results this season, and the loser here will find themselves even more heavily weighed down. Barca have the added talking point of Gerard Pique’s comments yesterday in which he criticised the club’s hierarchy for their treatment of Lionel Messi this summer. It’s sure to be a huge occasion as always.

RECENT FORM

Well, Barcelona lost to Getafe a week ago, whilst Madrid fell at home to Cadiz.

It’s not a good look.

GRIEZMANN ON BENCH

The headlines will deservedly be taken by Pedri’s inclusion in the starting eleven, but what of Griezmann?

The French world cup winner is left on the bench.

It always felt like a forced fit between the forward and Barcelona. Should he leave for greener pastures?

IN THE BALANCE

These two sides both have 96 wins against the other.

Will one of them take a slender lead in the all-time head-to-head?

A young Barcelona team has been trusted to get the job done today.

AMERICAN INTEREST

For the first time ever, an American will take to the field in El Clasico.

At just 19, Sergino Dest is in at right back for Barcelona.

Meanwhile, a certain Sergio Ramos is back for Madrid…
