Borussia Dortmund change Jadon Sancho transfer stance in Man Utd boost

Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho as Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to accept a lower fee than their original £108million asking price.

United made Sancho their No 1 target at the start of the summer but have been unable to put together a nine-figure package.

The Red Devils make their first approach earlier this week but Dortmund knocked back the £91m bid.

The Bundesliga side have been stubborn during talks between intermediaries but it appears their stance may be softening.

Sancho was left out of the squad which travelled to Bayern Munich for the German Super Cup final last night.

A ‘respiratory problem’ was cited for his absence from the team.

However, it could also be that Sancho is nearing an exit as Dortmund are willing to accept a deal worth £95m, according to the Scottish Sun.

United will be delighted at securing a £13m discount on the original price and will validate Ed Woodward’s decision to take the transfer down to the final week of the window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been crying out for a right winger as young striker Mason Greenwood has been forced to plug that gap.

Meanwhile, club legend Gary Neville is furious that United have left all of their business until the final few days of the window.

“It’s appalling that in this market which is probably the easiest in PL history to get transfers done that United haven’t done more yet,” the former defender tweeted.
