Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez soak up the sun on board £15m yacht

Cristiano Ronaldo has taken a break from the return of Serie A to sun himself on board a £15million yacht with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.

The Juventus star has only been back on the pitch twice following lockdown, but has already used the opportunity of his downtime to get out to sea.

Rodriguez posted a picture on her Instagram account of them together laying on deck, along with the caption: "The only thing I like more than you, is us."

The post followed one she had made on Wednesday of her posing on a lounge area on the boat.

According to Tuttosport, the couple had been to visit seaside town Viareggio, before staying the night in a hotel in Forte dei Marmi.

Ronaldo's quick get away may come as a surprise given recent criticisms aimed at the forward over his fitness.

Juve boss Maurizio Sarri admitted his star man "lacked sharpness" following a disappointing defeat to Napoli in the Coppa Italia.

However the yacht does house its own gym on board, as well as a jacuzzi.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner will most likely be back in training on Thursday too ahead of Juventus' third match back on Friday evening.

The Old Lady got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Bologna on Monday, and welcome 18th-placed Lecce to the Stadio delle Alpi in their next fixture.

Ronaldo had opened the scoring against Bologna from the penalty spot before Paulo Dybala doubled Juve's advantage.
