Inter Miami made it through to the the MLS play-offs with a 2-1 victory against Cincinnati.
Beckham, the Inter Miami president and co-owner, managed to get one over Cincinnati manager Jaap Stam, who he played with at Manchester United between 1998 and 2001.
In order to reach the play-offs Inter Miami had to win and hope that results elsewhere went in their favour.

Inter Miami were reduced to ten men late on when Andres Reyes was dismissed but that didn’t stop them from winning.
Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi were amongst the players in action for Inter Miami.
Chicago Fire’s 4-3 loss to New York City FC and Atlanta United’s 2-1 defeat to Columbus Crew helped Inter Miami to progress to the play-offs.
