Ex-Man Utd striker Dimitar Berbatov feels his former club can build on recent successes by securing a narrow victory over old foes Arsenal on Sunday.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last three matches in all competitions and were in rampant form on Wednesday, smashing five past Red Bull Leipzig in the Champions League.
It's been a significant turnaround in fortunes for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side after their 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Tottenham prior to the international break, and they could leapfrog Arsenal in the table should they win.
In contrast, The Gunners have failed to pick up any points in their last two Premier League outings and will be keen to get back to winning ways.
Speaking to Betfair , Berbatov said: "It’s crazy to see these two teams play when they are both so low in the table!
"United’s confidence will be high, but often you have a brilliant result followed by a horror show.
"I want to see United kick on up the table, and I think they can edge out Arsenal here. 2-1."
The showdown at Old Trafford is no doubt the crunch clash of the weekend, but there are several other intriguing fixtures taking place.
Liverpool are looking to reclaim top spot in the Premier League on Saturday evening but face an in-form West Ham side.
The Hammers' are without striker Michail Antonio but Berbatov feels they can still spring a surprise given Liverpool's problems at the back.
"West Ham are the one team I always say struggle to be consistent," the Bulgarian continued. "Liverpool have a lot of defensive injuries and have looked weak at the back more than once this season.
"I think West Ham can grab a draw here, Liverpool have been leaking goals."
Hot on Liverpool's tail are another of Berbatov's former clubs Tottenham, who will look to put their Europa League disappointment behind them as they welcome relegation strugglers Brighton.
Who will win the title this season? Have your say below.
"Spurs are being classed as title contenders, which is great, and they have a chance now to go on to succeed and become consistent," Berbatov added.
"I say again, Harry Kane and Son are magicians, and Gareth Bale can inject his quality too. They should take three points here."
Elsewhere Berbatov fancies Man City to earn a high-scoring win over Sheffield United, Leeds to pip Leicester, and Aston Villa to carry on their run of form with victory over Southampton.
It's bad news for Chelsea though, who Berbatov feels will struggle to find a way past Burnley, with Newcastle and Everton also tipped to share the spoils, while a first win for Fulham beckons at home to West Brom.
