Donny van de Beek's agent has hit out at Manchester United.
Sjaak Swart has criticised the midfielder's bit-part role so far for United and added a scathing assessment of the team's display against Brighton.
Van de Beek arrived from Ajax this summer for a deal worth £40million.
Former United shot-stopper and current Ajax chief Edwin van der Sar played a big role in the switch and even requested Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Co. to "take care" of the 23-year-old.
But according to Swart this hasn't been the case so far.
The Dutchman is unhappy that Van de Beek has made two substitute appearances against Crystal Palace and Brighton and only one start against Luton.
“A substitute, I don’t like it at all,” he told Voetbal Primeur.
“I couldn’t do it myself, substituting in with four minutes left to play. Then you’d better let me sit down.
“I have to say: he did three more good things. The penalty, where the winning goal came from, came from him.
“But normally they should have lost 1-7. Five times post and bar, Brighton… They have a nice team, but that shouldn’t happen to Manchester United.”
Van de Beek attracted the attention of Europe's elite two seasons ago with his superb displays in Ajax's impressive Champions League run.
Across the past two seasons Van de Beek has scored 27 goals and registered 24 assists 94 appearances.
He is expected to start in United's Carabao Cup tie against Brighton on Thursday but it remains to be seen if he can pip Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes to a Premier League starting spot.
