Everton ‘to receive Isco transfer proposal’ from Real Madrid as James Rodriguez backs deal

Isco reportedly wants to work under Carlo Ancelotti again at Everton and Real Madrid are believed to be ready to offload the attacking midfielder. Much like his former team-mates James Rodriguez, Isco is looking for a new challenge to get his career back on track.

He used to be a regular under Zinedine Zidane but now he is struggling for game time in the Spanish capital and there is a growing feeling that it might be time to try something new.

Meanwhile, Everton sit top of the Premier League after winning their opening four matches of the season.

Ancelotti has helped restore the feel-good factor at Goodison Park and the impressive acquisition of Rodriguez already looks a major coup.

It’s living proof that the Italian can attract world-class players and now it seems Isco wants to feel loved again.

According to The Mirror, the Spain international wants to join up with Ancelotti and Rodriguez on Merseyside after working under the former Real Madrid boss for two seasons between 2013 and 2015.

The report claims that Los Blancos are ready to agree an initial loan with an £18million option to make the deal permanent.

Isco’s representatives are said to be sounding out potential buyers in England and Italy as they look to earn their client a move.

Arsenal, Juventus and Sevilla are also thought to be amongst the other clubs who may be interested.

Isco is close to Rodriguez from their time at the Bernabeu and the Colombian would reportedly love to see him join the Toffees.

Back in 2014 during his time at Real Madrid, Ancelotti had high hopes for Isco and claimed he could be the next Clarence Seedorf under his tutelage.

“I’m confident he can perform this role – in the past I had another player very similar to Isco, he had a lot of quality,” Ancelotti said.

“I’m talking about Seedorf, an attacking midfielder just like Isco who played this role and was key for Milan.

“Isco can do the same because he is 10 years younger than Seedorf was.”

During the summer transfer window, Ancelotti made it clear to the Everton board that he wanted to bring in players with Champions League experience.

He got his wish in the form of Rodriguez, Allan and back up goalkeeper Robin Olsen.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ben Godfrey completed their spending and it appears Marcel Brands has had a successful summer if Everton’s blistering start is anything to go by.
