Everton trying to finalise Ben Godfrey transfer as Norwich agreement edges close

Everton are trying to finalise a deal for Norwich defender Ben Godfrey.

The Toffees have made the 22-year-old their No.1 defensive target.

Everton were keen on a loan deal for Chelse a defender Fikayo Tomori.

But they are now putting all their efforts into signing Godfrey on a permanent deal.

Norwich are demanding £30m plus add ons.

The Toffees have already failed with a bid of around £26m.

But they are confident they can secure a deal.

Carlo Ancelotti would love to land the defender following a successful summer in the transfer market.
