Gareth Bale is set to remain at Real Madrid this summer in a £60million stand-off as he remains livid that he didn’t secure a move away last year.

Bale was on the verge of joining Chinese side Jiangsu Suning but the movel, which would have seen him earn £1million-per-week, collapsed over Real’s demands.

As reported by The Sun, Bale is determined to see out the final two years of his deal at Real unless he can secure a move that suits him and has his contract paid up.

Bale informed manager Zinedine Zidane that he didn’t want to play for Real v Manchester City

Bale’s wages total up to £30million a year when bonuses are taken into consideration.

The 31-year-old didn’t travel to England for Real’s Champions League defeat against Manchester City after informing Zinedine Zidane that he didn’t want to be involved.

Bale is still furious with Real for stopping him from signing for Jiangsu Suning last year

Bale, who hadn’t featured in the seven preceding games for Real, was convinced that he wouldn’t have played a single minute at the Etihad Stadium. 

On Friday Bale was spotted playing golf instead and during a game against Alaves last month he was seen pretending to fall asleep in the stands. 

After Real returned to action in June Bale made just two appearances – he was brought on in the 61st minute against Eibar and played 71 minutes as he started against Mallorca.
