Jadon Sancho’s Borussia Dortmund stance if Man Utd transfer falls through

Jadon Sancho has informed Borussia Dortmund he will remain entirely dedicated and committed to the club if his transfer to Manchester United does not materialise, according to a report from Germany.

The 20-year-old winger is heavily linked with a to move to Old Trafford this summer after being touted to join the Red Devils throughout the season.

Personal terms are reportedly close to being agreed but Dortmund and United have so far been unable to agree to a fee for Sancho.

The Red Devils are unwilling to match the Dortmund's asking price of £108million, while the German giants are refusing to lower their valuation.

With his future hanging in the balance, Kicker claim Sancho reassured Dortmund he will "work with the same dedication and commitment for the success of BVB" if the transfer falls through.

The news Sancho will honour his contract at Signal Iduna Park – which expires in 2022 – will come as a relief to Dortmund chiefs.

The England international scored 19 goals and provided 19 assists during a prolific season and Dortmund's hopes of lifting silverware next year will receive a major boost if Sancho stays and replicates his best form.

Nonetheless, United remain "confident" of getting the deal over the line and Sancho has already been added to a WhatsApp group with some of his potential soon-to-be teammates, claims football transfer expert Ian McGarry.

“Manchester United are comfortable at this moment in time that they’re not in any competition for the signature of Jadon Sancho," McGarry told The Transfer Window podcast.

“They don't believe they’re going to be gazumped any no other club because no other club has expressed the same level of interest.

“They’re also very confident the player wants to come to Old Trafford.

“He has been in constant touch with England international colleagues who currently play for Manchester United and indeed in daily contact with them.

“It’s even believed he's on a WhatsApp group with some of the Manchester United players as well.

“Therefore, United are very comfortable with their position, they believe that Dortmund will come around to the (payment) structure that they've suggested.”
