Jose Mourinho chases Eric Dier down tunnel after Spurs ace abruptly leaves pitch

Jose Mourinho was once again the centre of attention during Tottenham vs Chelsea, as he was spotted chasing Eric Dier down the tunnel at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With 15 minutes remaining, and Spurs trailing 1-0, Dier decided to sprint off the pitch abruptly after the ball went out of play.

Mourinho hadn't substituted the centre-back and was incensed by his player's decision to leave him team with 10-men.

So fuming in fact, that the Portuguese boss stormed down the tunnel, following Dier.

Sky Sports cameras picked up Mourinho behind the scenes, trying to catch up with the defender as he re-entered the dressing room.

Minutes later, both men reemerged – Dier first, following by a stern-looking Mourinho.

Soon after, Spurs were level through Argentinian Eric Lamela.

During the first-half, Mourinho was also causing havoc on the touchline, this time clashing with opposite number Frank Lampard.

It is unclear what caused the touchline clash, as Mourinho and his former midfielder shouted at each other from their technical areas.

Fourth official Andre Marriner was forced to get between the pair, who achieved great success at Chelsea back in the day, telling both men to calm down.

Mourinho gestured that Lampard was mouthing off, before pointing towards the Chelsea dugout and motioning for Lampard to take a seat.

The latter seemed bemused by the incident, which continued for the good part of a minute, hitting back himself.

Speaking before the match, Mourinho was asked why Dier's team-mate Dele Alli had been omitted from the 18-man squad.

"No Dele Alli, no Sonny, no Lo Celso," he responded.
