Julian Draxler has no intention of leaving Paris St-Germain this summer despite receiving an offer to join Leeds.
Draxler, 26, has entered the final year of his current PSG contract, plunging his future with the French champions into doubt.
Reports suggest club sporting director Leonardo is keen to cash in on the Germany international while he still can this summer, as he will be eligible to negotiate a free move abroad at the turn of the year.
According to RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, Leeds are looking to take advantage of Draxler’s transfer situation and have been in touch with the player in a bid to lure him to Elland Road.
The Whites have been bolstering Marcelo Bielsa’s squad ahead of their long-awaited Premier League return this weekend, with reigning champions Liverpool to come at Anfield on Saturday.
They have already racked up a summer transfer bill of £62million on Rodrigo, Helder Costa, Robin Koch and Illan Meslier.
However, Draxler is understood to have rebuffed their interest and set his sights on remaining a PSG player.
After spending two months out injured at the start of the season, and with the 2019/20 French football season being curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the midfielder only made seven league starts for PSG last season.
He made just five appearances in their run to the Champions League final, too, with all of them coming off the bench.
It is difficult to see him becoming a first-team regular in Paris next season amid an array of talent at Thomas Tuchel’s disposal – and L’Equipe claim he has been offered to Arsenal as part of a swap deal for Matteo Guendouzi.
Guendouzi, 21, is on the transfer list at the Emirates after falling out with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta back in July.

The Frenchman has been forced to train away from Arteta’s first team in recent months and is almost certain to be on his way out of the club this summer.
Arsenal are believed to be targeting Lyon ace Houssem Aouar as his replacement, but they have already seen a player-plus-cash offer that included Guendouzi rejected by the French club.
