Jurgen Klopp admits he does not know how much money Liverpool will have access to after coronavirus pandemic.
The Liverpool manager says the club have to be cautious with their summer spending due to the financial ramifications of the crisis – causing them to ‘think five times’ before signing Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara.
Thiago – who has just one year left on his contract with the European champions – will set Liverpool back £29million should they choose to sign the 29-year-old.

When asked about Liverpool’s potential move for Thiago in an interview with Servus TV, Klopp replied: ‘There are a lot of interesting players out there but if someone is interesting for us I can’t say right now.
‘Now, in corona times, you have to think five times before making a transfer because nobody knows what will happen after corona.’
‘We always have to pay attention to the financial aspect. Because we don’t know exactly how much money we will have available. Others seem to deal with it a little more positively when you look at Chelsea.’
‘But I am very happy with my team right now. If something transfer related will happen we have to see.’

Chelsea have also signed both Timo Werner for £53m (above) and Hakim Ziyech for £38m
Chelsea have made a statement of intent this summer. The Blues have recently completed a £50m deal for Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell after signing Timo Werner for £53m and Hakim Ziyech for £38m.
Frank Lampard is also said to be close to agreeing deals for Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.
Whereas the Reds have only confirmed one signing this summer – Kostas Tsimikas for £11.75m from Oylmpiacos.
In addition, the 24-year-old’s cost was mostly offset by the £10.9m departure of Dejan Lovren to Zenit St Petersburg.
