Chelsea stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga wants to stay and fight for his place at the club in a shock U-turn over his future.
The Spaniard has looked destined for the exit in recent months after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
The world's most expensive goalkeeper was axed by Lampard in the latter stages of the season in favour of Willy Caballero.
But the Sun report Kepa wants to stay put and fight for the chance to regain the No 1 spot in west London.
The 25-year-old has reportedly made up with Lampard and is looking forward to working with the club's new defenders; Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva.
Arrizabalaga still has four years to run on his £150,000-a-week Chelsea deal.
And if the club do cash in, they will be hopeful of recouping around £50m of the £71.6m they spent back in 2018.
Arrizabalaga has come under fire this season after making a number of high profile errors and the Blues have been linked with a number of potential replacements, including Ajax's Andre Onana, Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak and Rennes keeper Edouard Mendy.
The club struggled to make progress in negotiations for Mendy, with Rennes demanding £45m for the 28-year-old.
AC Milan 's 21-year-old number one Gianluigi Donnarumma has also been mooted as a potential option and Football Insider are reporting that Chelsea are in talks about a move.
Milan boss Stefano Pioli is eager to get the new deal finalised, telling Italian publication La Repubblica: "I cannot imagine a Milan without Donnarumma."
But Kepa's U-turn may now mean Chelsea end their replacement search.
