Jurgen Klopp stuck it to Roy Keane live on Sky Sports following his side's 3-1 win over Arsenal.

The former Manchester United midfielder accused Liverpool of being sloppy in parts but outstanding on the whole.

Klopp only picked up on the word sloppy and decided to go in two-footed.

"They’re like a machine," Keane said at full-time. "They’ve got great quality going forward. They’re obviously one of the fittest teams around. They suffocate teams. I know Arsenal were encouraging them by playing out from the back but they have loads of goals in them.

"They were sloppy on one or two occasions at the back but job done and a good start to the season for them."

Keane's assessment was shortly before Klopp was invited to interview, who asked straight away: "Did I hear right that Mr Keane said we had a sloppy performance tonight?"

Keane then replies: "I think they gave up one or two opportunities they would be disappointed with?"

Klopp interjects: "This is a sloppy performance tonight? I am not sure if I heard it right. It must be a different game. It cannot be this game. Sorry.

"That's an incredible description of this game. That was absolutely excpetional.

"Nothing was sloppy. Absolutely nothing. From the first second dominant against a team in form. 100 per cent in form. And we have to be careful like hell against the counter attacks.

"I think 60 per cent of the balls in behind were offside, that's why it feels not so great but it was offside. Ali had to make one save. They had two balls in behind that's three. You need a goalie in these situations. You cannot avoid that.

"Apart from that, the football we played was absolutely exceptional tonight.

"So that doesn't help for any other game, not for Thursday, not for Sunday, not for nothing. But about this game tonight there's nothing bad to say."

Keane then responds: "Can you hear me? I said there's been sloppy moments but I think you've been outstanding. I've got nothing but praise. I'm not sure if you heard me correctly there."

"I cannot," replies Klopp. "I look at the speaker and hear the word sloppy and if that's about the game tonight it's the wrong."

"You need to hear the rest of it," Keane rebuffed.

"I will watch it 100 per cent," Klopp replies.

"Very sensitive, isn't he," replied Keane. "Imagine if he had lost."
