Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp issued two-part warning over potential Koulibaly transfer

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have to consider two important factors if he wants to sign Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly at the end of the season. The Reds are among some of Europe’s biggest clubs that have joined the bidding war over Koulibaly, who is a standout performer in the Serie A.

But Robbie Savage believes that Klopp will have to consider the centre-back’s immense asking price, which is said to be north of £100million, as well as the player’s wage demands.

Savage also claimed that the Senegal international will expect to start in every game, which could lead to the German manager having to limit Joe Gomez’s game time.

“You then have to factor in the humility and the hunger which is a big part of Liverpool’s success. And if you looked at Wednesday night against Crystal Palace, they were three up and they were hunting the ball down.

“If you bring in quality, then you get those players to retain that hunger. It’s a wonderful problem for Liverpool to have of course but these are important considerations.”
