Manchester City will reportedly rival Manchester United for the signature of Jack Grealish this summer, if they got what they want for Leroy Sane. Sane has just 12 months left on his contract at the Etihad with Pep Guardiola confirming there will no longer be talks over a new deal.
City will not want to lose the talented 24-year-old for nothing next year, though, and will listen to offers in the summer.
Bayern Munich are the clear favourites to complete a deal to sign Sane having tracked the Germany international for some time now.
Guardiola has had to cope without Sane for most of this season, with the winger only recently recovering from a cruciate ligament injury he suffered last summer.
With David Silva leaving the Etihad this summer as well, the City boss could head into the market for another creative midfielder.

Phil Foden is expected to step up into a more regular role with the first-team next year.
But the Telegraph report City are interested in signing Grealish from Aston Villa.
United have long been linked with a move for Grealish, who is expected to leave Villa in the summer, and he is among their top targets.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring in home-grown talents having bought Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka last year.

United were thought to be the frontrunners to sign Grealish, but City’s interest may force Solskjaer to look elsewhere.
The report claims Bayern only value Sane at £35million but City are holding out for a much bigger offer in the summer.
And if their asking price is eventually met by Bayern or any other suitors then City will reportedly turn their focus on signing Grealish.
Given United are interested in signing Jadon Sancho as well as being linked with a number of other players, they might be unable to compete with the spending power of City in a bidding war for Grealish.
The 24-year-old has earned high praise for his performances at Villa Park this season, despite Dean Smith’s side sitting in the relegation zone.
He is the club’s top scorer this season with nine goals from midfield while also registering eight assists in all competitions.
Solskjaer is also not short of attacking options in midfield having signed Bruno Fernandes in January.
The Portugal international has been a revelation at Old Trafford since his big-money move and Solskjaer is already excited about the prospect of Fernandes forming a partnership with Paul Pogba.
