Manchester United’s transfer activity – or lack thereof, has been one of the biggest talking points of the summer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believed United could take advantage of their strong financial position by attacking the window amid the coronavirus pandemic.
However, with one week until deadline day, Solskjaer has seen just one player arrive, in the shape of Donny van de Beek, who signed from Ajax in a deal worth £40million.
Much of the window has been centred around the Red Devils’ lengthy pursuit of Jadon Sancho.
The England forward is high on Solskjaer’s wishlist, but United have failed to reach the German’s £108m valuation.
Reports suggest that United are preparing a final, £90m bid for Sancho, with the hope Dortmund will make some form of compromise.
However, it is at the other end of the pitch where fans are keen to see arrivals.

United have shipped five goals in their opening two Premier League games. On Saturday Brighton netted twice, as well as hitting the woodwork a staggering five times.
Porto left-back Alex Telles has been heavily linked with a move, with the Portuguese giants growing increasingly frustarted at the slow progress made in negotiations.
Telles would provide stern competition to Luke Shaw, but it looks as if United are happy with their options at the heart of their defence.
Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have started both games this season and the MEN report that they are unlikely to bring in additional reinforcements.
Instead, Solskjaer’s focus will be on sanctioning departures for the defenders deemed surplus to requirements, with Diogo Dalot and Chris Smalling both mentioned.
Phil Jones was in line for an exit, but a lingering injury issue means he is now set to stay at Old Trafford.
United legend Gary Neville, slammed his old club’s transfer policy, suggesting a new centre-back should be a priority.
He said: “You can talk about Jadon Sancho all you like, but until they get a centre-back in who can run and defend one-on-one, you’re never going to win a league.
“They’re not going to win the league with that centre-back pairing. They have to get a mobile, quick, dominant centre-back in alongside Lindelof or Maguire. Their defending has been better since Christmas, no doubt, but you’re talking about going up a level.”
Solskjaer disagrees with that assessment however, claiming he is happy with the options currently at his disposal.
"We've got many defenders here and I put Eric (Bailly) on to bolster the defence, following the runs of (Leandro) Trossard and (Neal) Maupay.
"So, for me, we've got enough good centre-backs here at the moment.”
