Manchester City have lined up a deal for the Algerian starlet dubbed the next the Riyad Mahrez.
The City Football Group, the company which owns nine football clubs including Manchester City, have signed winger Ishak Boussouf on a five-year deal from Algerian side ES Setif.
The 18-year-old will initially join Belgian First Division KV Kortrijk, owned by Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan.
Ishak Boussouf signed his first professional contract with Algerian side ES Setif last summer
Boussouf is then expected to join either Manchester City or Lommel SK, a Belgian second-tier team owned by the City Football Group.
Boussouf, who signed his first professional contract with Algerian side ES Setif last summer, had rejected offers from French clubs Monaco and Rennes.
But his agent Chokri Yousfi said in January Boussouf was planning to leave the club at the end of the season.
The 18-year-old winger will hope to follow in the footsteps of Riyad Mahrez at Manchester City
He said: ‘There were offers from prestigious clubs for this winter window. But Ishak Boussouf will finish his first season in the Algerian 1st division.
‘It is quite simply a family decision, he signed his first professional contract with the club that formed him until December 2021.
‘It also brings the possibility of him being able to play until the end of the season at the elite level locally, and to continue to learn.
‘However, as the president Fahd El Halfya has clearly stated, the player will be allowed to leave in the following window.’
