Mark Lawrenson makes final day predictions including Leicester vs Man Utd

After an unprecedented 11-month season, the Premier League campaign finally draws to a close this weekend.

And Mark Lawrenson has made his choices for who will finish in the top four, who will grab Europa League places – and who will fall through the trap door into the Championship.

Arguably the biggest showdown on the final day is the clash between Leicester City and Manchester United at the King Power Stadium.

Effectively, it is a straight up shootout for a spot in next season’s Champions League – although both could finish in the top four if they draw and Chelsea lose at home to Wolves.

However, Liverpool legend Lawrenson believes that Brendan Rodgers’ men are up against it, particularly given their injury situation and the suspension of Caglar Soyuncu.

"I don't see United being beaten," said Lawrenson, writing in his weekly BBC prediction column.

"Leicester were already without James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira through injury but having Caglar Soyuncu suspended is a big miss for them at the back.

"They are not the same without him. Wes Morgan has been great for the Foxes but, at 36, can he really deal with the pace of United's front three?"

As such, Lawrenson is backing the Red Devils to claim victory in the East Midlands – while he believes that results elsewhere will see Spurs sneak into a Europa League spot.

Lawrenson’s final day predictions

  • Arsenal 2-0 Watford

  • Burnley 2-0 Brighton

  • Chelsea 2-1 Wolves

  • Crystal Palace 0-2 Tottenham

  • Everton 2-0 Bournemouth

  • Leicester 1-2 Man Utd

  • Man City 4-0 Norwich

  • Newcastle 0-2 Liverpool

  • Southampton 2-0 Sheffield United

  • West Ham 2-0 Aston Villa
