Lyndon Dykes scored with Scotland’s only shot on target to give Steve Clarke’s men a 1-0 victory over Slovakia at Hampden Park.
There had been little goal-mouth action before Dykes lost his marker to meet Stephen O’Donnell’s inch-perfect cross and fire past Dusan Kuciak in the opposition goal.
The win ensured Scotland stayed top of their UEFA Nations League group and maintained their unbeaten record in the competition so far.
