Erling Halaand's thoughts on Liverpool have resurfaced amid reports the Reds are interested in acquiring his services.

The Norway international has taken the Bundesliga by storm since his £20million move to Borussia Dortmund last December.

In his maiden season at the Signal Iduna Park, the former RB Salzburg man scored a whopping 16 goals and provided three assists in 18 appearances.

Haaland has carried that impressive form into the 2020/21 campaign, scoring five goals and providing two assists in five appearances.

The 20-year-old's stellar displays have caught the eye of many of Europe's big boys, including Premier League champions Liverpool.

The Reds were said to have an interest in acquiring his services before he joined Dortmund, with recent reports suggesting they're still admirers of the striker.

The admiration, however, isn't just a one-way street, with Haaland being a major admirer of the Merseysiders.

Haaland revealed his admiration of the Reds ahead of Salzburg's Champions League clash with the Jurgen Klopp's troops last October, comments which have resurfaced on Reddit.

You say Grealish is the man for England

In a recent Daily Star survey on the England team, we asked the question: who should give England that midfield spark after Phil Foden was dropped?

Of course, Jack Grealish took the overwhelming victory, with 60% of the public vote.

Mason Mount took 28%, Harvey Barnes 9% and James Maddison just 1% – with the rest voting for others.

"The best team in the world," Haaland said of the reigning Premier League champions. "Very good fans, stadium and atmosphere. Everything. It's a dream coming true to play here."

Although Haaland is a fan of this current Liverpool team, he has no desire to part ways with Dortmund in the near future.

In June, he told Funke Media Group: “I don’t think much about the future, I live in the present and decide what is best for my career at each specific moment.

“So I joined Dortmund in winter with a lot of conviction.

“They are one of the best teams in the world, I have signed a long contract and I have practically just arrived. So now I don’t think about leaving at all.”
