Wigan Athletic put administration woes to the back of their mind for 90 minutes as Paul Cook’s side bolstered their hopes of remaining in the Championship with a 1-0 win.
Kieffer Moore got the only goal of the game at the DW Stadium as Mark Warburton’s QPR side failed to make amends for allowing Moore’s opener.
Wigan went into administration after being sold last month and are facing a 12-point deduction which would see them drop to the foot of the second division as it stands right now but Wednesday night’s win was a welcome three points in their fight to stay up.

Wigan started strong and looked like the side with more to play for and so it went on to show
